About

I’ve been called “flighty” or “fickle” or even “temperamental”, but I prefer the term “capricious”.

Capricious:
adjective
subject to, led by, or indicative of a sudden, odd notion or unpredictable change; erratic

I have many varied interests that can shift faster than a Maryland weather pattern. I like to try new things and I’m not afraid to tackle projects – whether I finish them or not remains to be seen. I started this blog as a way to share some of my adventures.

Though my interests vary, I do have some hobbies that are fairly consistent.

My pups:
Elsie the Weimaraner and Riley the Yorkie.
Two of the most spoiled, badly behaved cuties you’ll ever meet. No, the breed combo doesn’t make sense, but that’s kind of how I roll in general. No, they don’t get along. I know what you’re thinking. The little one runs the show. Nope. He’s a big wimp. They tolerate each other’s presence and that’s about it. The big one steals the little one’s toys. They are true siblings. I love these two creatures so much.

Photography:
I got my DSLR in 2010 and fell in love immediately. I’m no expert, but I have a lot of fun with it. I’m currently trying to learn my way through Photoshop CS6. All the photographs in the headers of this blog are my own.

Crafts:
My father worked for a craft and fabric store when I was younger. I always had a fresh supply of glitter, pom poms, and construction paper. Now with the popularity of Pinterest, my crafty-gene has been reactivated. I’m not always successful, but I do enjoy the process. I’ve recently taught myself how to sew!

Cooking:
I enjoy cooking and I’m always looking for new ways to make the same old dinners. Trust me, I’m no chef. But I love to take a recipe and tweak it. I also TRY to stay on the healthy side. If I find something easy, nutritious, and delicious, I’ll be sure to share!
